Module 4

 There are many different factors to take into account when deciding which physical activity you'd like to take part in. Some of these factors include:

- What are you looking to improve

- What would be fun for you

- What helps you the most

- What are you skilled at

- What would you need

etc.


In looking at some of these different factors, its also important to recognize physical conditions that you may need to take into account when deciding.


While exercising you will also need to keep track of your surroundings. One thing to consider as apart of your surroundings is the weather.

 hot weather

Look out for different medical issues that may arise if you find yourself completing these activities in hot weather.

Symptoms of heat exhaustion would be:

- Feeling dizzy and/or lightheaded    -Sweating uncontrollably    -Having difficulty breathing      -Headache                                        -Feeling exhausted             -Rapid pulse rate

Signs of heat stroke would look like:

-warm, dry skin                            -Irritability                                  -Unable to balance                 -Swollen tongue                         -Sight and hearing problems   -Lack of perspiration and urine

heat cramps would show a:

-Rapid heart rate                          -Clammy skin & chills                - Nauseous feeling 

-Inability to quench thirst

If you

 experience these symptoms, you should stop what you're doing, get to a cooler environment, and seek medical attention.



cold weather

health problems like hypothermia or frostbite are things to watch out for in cold weather. It's important to dress properly for the environment, and know what to do in these situations.
